Buying or selling a property is an inherently stressful undertaking for anyone and these stresses and pitfalls are greatly compounded when one of you is 1400km away in a different town and the other is working away in a different country.

After we already allowed 5 different agents with mandates to sell our property in Newlands, Pretoria, we reluctantly added Charlene du Toit from TICKBOX PROPERTIES to also get involved on her request.

Not only did Charlene sell our property to the first buyers she showed the house to, she also made the whole process from first showing all the way to registration and money in the bank as agreeable as possible.

She handled various sub-contractors involved in finalizing our building plans, minor repairs, cleaning and maintenance, ensuring the pool stayed clean and keeping our prepaid electricity topped up. She also handled the preparation of and distribution of all the accompanying documentation and liaison with the transfer attorneys without a fuss.

Although Charlene has a very relaxed and approachable communication style, she always remained assertive when required and was available at all hours of the day. She maintained a good balance between looking after the requirements and expectations of both us as the sellers as well as the keeping the buyers happy and ensuring their continued interest until an OTP was finalized and signed.
